Ground tackle, the anchor and its chain together, is inspected at every drydocking, since corrosion and wear on the anchor's moving parts reduce its holding power in ways that are not always visible from the deck. A worn or damaged anchor is replaced against the vessel's own equipment certificate, which records the exact type and mass required. Supplying the correct replacement starts with that certificate, or with the original manufacturer's specification where one is available, rather than a general description of what an anchor is.
Full specifications, material grades and dimensions are confirmed per enquiry. Tell us the vessel and the duty, and we will send the datasheet.
