What this site collects

This website is a set of static files. It has no user accounts, no comment system and no advertising. It does not set cookies and it does not run analytics.

There is one form, on each product page, for sending us a specification. Nothing you type into it is stored on this website — it is turned into an email to our sales team and then it is gone from the server. See "The enquiry form" below.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include the IP address a request came from and the page requested. We do not read these routinely and we do not link them to a person.

The quote list

When you add a product to your quote list, your browser saves it under the key "ops.quote.v1" in its local storage. What is saved is the product identifier, the quantity, and any note you type. Nothing else.

This stays on your device. It is not sent to us, and we cannot see it. It is not shared between your devices, and clearing your browser data removes it.

It leaves your device only when you press "Send on WhatsApp", "Copy list" or "Email this list". At that moment your quote list, together with any name, company or project location you filled in, becomes the text of a message that you send. You can read and edit that message before sending it.

You can empty the list at any time with the "Clear list" button on the quote page.

The enquiry form

Every product page has a form for sending us a specification. Unlike the quote list, this one does leave your device: that is what it is for.

When you press send, what you filled in — your name if you gave one, your email address, your phone number, your message, and any document you attached — is turned into an email to our sales team, together with the product page you sent it from. The document travels as an attachment on that email.

None of it is written to a database or kept as a file on the web server. It exists there only for as long as the request takes. After that it lives in our mailbox, like any other email you might send us, and we keep it as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of the enquiry.

The server counts how many enquiries have recently come from your internet connection, so the form cannot be used to send floods of mail. That count is a number in a temporary file, it is not linked to anything you typed, and it clears itself after an hour.

WhatsApp and email

When you contact us through WhatsApp, the message and your phone number are handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy, not ours. The same applies to email and to your email provider.

We keep enquiry messages for as long as we need them to quote, supply and support the order. We do not sell them and we do not add you to a mailing list.
