Anchor 2
A ship's anchor, the fitting that holds a vessel in position by gripping or digging into the seabed.

Hull Outfittings
A ship's anchor, the fitting that holds a vessel in position by gripping or digging into the seabed.
An anchor holds a vessel in position without engine power, either by the sheer weight and shape of the anchor itself digging into the seabed, or by a fluke design that grips as the chain draws it flat. It is deployed and recovered by the windlass, and the two work as a matched pair: the anchor's holding power is only as useful as the windlass's ability to control the chain paying it out. Exact type, weight and chain size are specified per vessel and per class requirement, which is why those figures are confirmed on request rather than listed here for a numbered stock item.
Full specifications, material grades and dimensions are confirmed per enquiry. Tell us the vessel and the duty, and we will send the datasheet.
